Our Crew
The Crew of the Valhalla is a dangerous lot.
Led by the fierce Captain Charles W Black,
these Sea Dogs have been known to pillage and plunder
- giving no quarter and making off with the booty!
Give this lot a wide berth or ye'll be sent to Davy Jones' Locker! |

Rylee
The Pirate Princess

|
She's the sparkling gem of the Valhalla.
Daughter of Lt. Michael Morgan Black.
Not exactly one of the usual scallywags onboard.
You will see Rylee with the Lt. and crew when the Valhalla is docked
at her home port.
Treated just like royalty - as she expects.
You can just look into her beautiful chestnut
eyes and see she was born for adventures on the high seas.
She may be the only person on earth that can put 'er rather roguish
father in 'is place...
with the exception of 'er Mum, that is.

Fox
Boatswain (Retired)

|
I am Fox.
I am accused of horrific deeds, active dreadfulness,
and I don't care…enemies of pirates are friends of capitalists.
My language is blunt, sly, poetic, and innocent
of academic jargon. I am the Goddess of "smooth space."
I would rather laze about in the tropics, feasting, drinking, and
being with my man, than submit to life without freedom, honor or
choice.
It's Life Under The Deaths' Head for me!
I embody "outsiderness without compromises."
Shoot to kill, dead men tell no tales of the Fox.
She be the only one who's brave or
bold enough to wear The Black Widow Spider on her left hand finger.
To this date, Fox be the only crewmate to retire, successful-like, to her tropic paradise. The crew still values her advice in keeping body and soul together. |

Young James the Shear
Helmsman

| Not much is known of James’s formative
years… An orphan, he grew up on the streets of Tortuga.
The cause of mayhem and wickedness. Stealing to get by,
he learned all manner of foul trades -
lock picking, stealing, gambling, fighting, and drinking.
The turning point came when James caught the
eye of Captain Black, who admired the bravery
and skill of a young man caught stealing the Governor’s purse
-
And the innocence of the Governor’s daughter!
Determined to make a gentleman of 'im, The Captain took the young
man under his wing, tutoring him in the sciences of celestial
navigation and swordsmanship.
Although James tests 'is benefactor occasionally with 'is bravado
and taste for wenching, He is a dead shot with a pistol... a quite
handy quality for a pirate.

Calico Jane Valentine
Sail Maker

|
Calico Jane takes her nickname from
the colorful desses her mother used to sew using the exotic fabrics her father brought home from his travels.
After her mother’s death, she sailed the world with her father until he was killed in a skirmish with the Navy.
Finding herself alone, she soon joined a band of rum runners and black market dealers who were impressed
by her knowledge of hidden ports and trade routes, and made herself infamous by successfully selling the
King’s own rum back to him - and making herself wealthy in the process.
She joined Captain Black’s crew in an attempt to elude the authorities, and seeing as how the
crew loves their rum, it was a fair deal for all.

Cameron
Topman

|
Origin unknown... Cameron seemed to come from
thin air...
The Captain and a few crew members found themselves
in a rather precarious situation with the Governor's
Troops in a Port Royal tavern. Cameron and his comrades
appeared from nowhere. Outflanking the soldiers, he allowed
the Captain to escape the clutches of incarceration once more.
Cameron signed onto the 'Valhalla' as Topman...
Few feel as comfortable as he above a five sail top mast.
He is also well versed in all manner of weaponry and hand to hand combat.
Head in the clouds with feet firmly on deck is he. |

Commodore Marcus Waters, HMRN
Acting Governor - Port Royal

|
Self-appointed after the "unfortunate, untimely, and ah Accidental" death
of Governor Weatherby Swann.
Despite the pleadings of his lovely wife Lady Sylvia, the Commodore
rules with somewhat of an Iron Fist... harsh, brutal punishments and taxation with no reasonable
representation being two of his more important platforms...
However, the Commodore seems to have an accord with Captain Black and his 'Privateers' (loosely put) regarding certain matters of
mutual financial gain...
An agreement no doubt signed in the devil's blood...

Morgan Le'Faye
Scullery Maid

|
Morgan Le'Faye's origins are from Celtic mythology...
Her father being the Duke of Cornwall.
In legend, considered the daughter of Le'Faye,
a Welsh sea goddess.
The root of her name, Mor, meaning "Sea."
A healer, yet strong and combative...
she has proven herself a staunch comrade in the crew
and she welcomes adventure...
As adventure beckons her...

Captain Jack

|
The history of Captain Jack is clouded by his own imaginings and his love
of a good story (especially when it improves his reputation). It is known, however, that
"Sparrow" was the title given to a seaman who'd sailed in all the seas of the world. Jack taught
himself to shoot by firing at rum bottles (emptied, of course) and traded a shipment of stolen
Chinese silks for sword lessons from an Italian master. He also apprenticed in cartography and navigation.
Jack can be treacherous, but survives mostly by his wits and negotiation
rather than weapons or force, preferring to flee most dangerous situations and fight only when
necessary. He is also known by the titles of Captain, Pirate Lord, "Governor" of Rumrunner's
Isle, and former king of Pelegosto.
"It is my intention to… raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out!"

Monterey Jacques Fromage

|
The illegitimate son of Louis XIV, Monterey Jacques Fromage was raised by
courtesans of the French court without the benefit of a father figure. An atypical pirate, he
is unquestionably foppish and easily converses about fine wine, haute couture and proper
etiquette without uttering a single "aargh". Assisted by long time friend Madame Marie, Monterey
Jacques found new horizons on the open seas aboard the Valhalla.
Do not let looks deceive - He knows when your wench is home and YOU are not!

Ripper
Harpooner

|
Francis, or Rip, was a harpooner on a whaling ship. Obviously it was
strange how this "cold water sailor" ended up in Tortuga... Perhaps the warmer Caribbean proved
to be a wee bit more climatically attractive than the icey North Atlantic seas... In any event,
this stout and stark lad occasionally runs with the crew of the Valhalla... when indeed the mood
strikes. This harpooner is equally effective at spearing a speeding tuna as he is at landing slower
and larger sea mammals... Or mermaids! Soup's on!
|
| |
Thomas MacBooty

|
Thomas MacBooty boasts of being directly related to Scottland's
House of Stuart.(despite the fact that he spends most 'is time lamenting in that corner
table at Morgan's Tavern, Port Royal...)
More of a fighter than a lover, he boasts equally
of both.
When he cannot be found at 'is tavern location, he may be seen occasionally atop
the riggin's on the Valhalla.
|
| |
Barkeep Chris

|
Aye, the women of the Valhalla
all turn an appreciative eye
when Chris enters the bar!
Stong as he is handsome, nary a care in the world,
he carries himself with honor.
Never one to allow insult to a lady, he is the
favored champion of all the wenches.
And to the rest of the crew, he's a handy bartender,
pint always at the ready!
What's yer poison? |
