However, Captain and crew were betrayed.
Captain Charles W. Black, who had served the Throne loyally for many years,
was now outlawed by 'is homeland and wanted for treason and acts of Piracy!
Captain Black embraced his new role as Pirate with the same
courage he had taken his first command. As a man of conscience and honor, he
gave leave to any who would not follow a pirate to disbark at the next port.
There he re-christened his ship the "Valhalla" and thence-forth became
known as the scourge of the New World!
Revered and feared from the Northern Colonies
down to the West Indies, She flies the
Ruddy Jack ('er own ensign painted on a
battered King's Jack). However, she still occasionally flies the Blue
Ensign, the flag revoked 'er by the English King. This li'l
trick does allow 'er to get conveniently close to British and
British-friendly merchant ships. Once within cannons' range, she
will raise 'er own true colors!

A fierce fighter with renowned strength!
An expert in cutlass, dagger, and black powder weapons!
An ominous presence, patient but formidable when provoked!
The fortitude and wisdom of a King 'imself!
Well loved, and respected by 'is crew!
More than fair to any poor souls 'is ship may seize!
So if'n you see this Pirate Captain and his hearty
crew of scallywags out and about,
tip your hat, raise your mug, and salute to a Pirates Life! Huzzah!
